The rise and rise of Indian tycoons Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani has been a phenomenon of huge importance to India, the world's second most populace country. In April 2022, Adani was ranked the world's fifth richest man with an estimated personal wealth of over 123 billion US dollars. Between them, Adani and Ambani have colossal stakes in ports, airports, telecommunications, petrochemicals, coal, mining, edible oils, real estate and logistics.
